Pre-Tension loading is applied to Cable 3D element (Element type 13). This value need to be defined before running Form-Finding (for membrane with border cable analysis), NonLinear Analysis, Tensegrity Analysis solver. Structures that needs cable element and cable pre-tension simulation in the analysis are Tensegrity structure, Tensinet structure, cable-net structure, Mast & Tieback system, Tensile membrane with border cable and or reinforcement cable in the middle, etc. To assign, select the Cable elements first then follow command. Default unit is in kN.
Using cmd type Add Pretens or Add Pretension. Using menu, click Add – Loading – Cable Pretension.
